Christopher Barr Photography is one of the most experienced professional aerial photographers in the Southwest shooting aerial surveys and aerial documentation. Chris began shooting aerial photography in 1982 in South America documenting and identifying illegal deforestation along the Rio Negros River in the Brazilian Amazon.
Now headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, CB Photography provides professional aerial photography required for many applications including property development, city planning, movie production, courtroom litigation, traffic accident documentation, wildlife and marine management, archaeological surveys, environment studies, commercial advertising. We do not provide true vertical photography, orthophotography or processed photogrammetric surveys, topographical maps and digital terrain models.
Recently in March of 2010 Chris was part of the SkyComp aerial photography team documenting morning and evening rush hour traffic patterns in Maricopa County for the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG). This survey, which takes place in 10 year intervals, produces the critical data required to optimize the city's traffic lights for maximal flow and efficiency during peak rush hours.
At the same time, Christopher Barr Photography has two other aerial photographers under contract that give our studio the capacity to handle coordinated aerial photography projects of much greater scope. Our aerial photographers collectively have over 500 hours of flight time shooting from platforms that include fixed wing, helicopters, blimps and balloons. We do not own or operate remote or radio controlled aerial photography platforms at this time.
Our staff of professional aerial photographers, production coordinators and digital technicians can offer the highest level of knowledge, experience and customer service to our clients. We can help you produce and coordinate aerial photography flights anywhere in the Southwest as well as consultation on how to determine scope, flight and equipment requirements, and most cost effective solutions for project production. Once the principal aerial photography is completed, our post production digital services include retouching, complete print production services, online proofing and image archiving.
